Other The C47, originally known as the DC3, started as one of the first commercial civilian airliners. Best known for the "Berlin Airlift", the C47 dropped food, clothing and medical supplies to keep Berliners alive during the Russian occupation after WWII . The museum's C47 is one of the few flyable C47's with a paratrooper configuration and is a WWII veteran, dropping troops for the D-Day invasion.

Broke My Camera

Well, it finally happened. My well worked Canon 30D, broke down on me, while shooting a track meet on Friday. The shutter blew. I know that those cameras are only rated for about 100,000 shots so i can't complain, I think I had about 150,000. Now it's on it's way to Canon for repair, and I'll have to make due with another tired old camera, the 20D. With any luck, Canon will get it fixed and back to me by next week, when the spring sports get into full mode.

** Update on the broken camera. Sent it out to Canon for repairs on Saturday, they quickly replaced the shutter and got it back to me today which is Friday. The whole process took about 6 days, have to say that I am pretty impressed with the Canon factory service center.**
